Free Water Knockouts
Our Free Water Knockouts are designed in a way to provide low-velocity flow when fluids with different densities pass through it. This allows the maximum quantity of water to settle down in the vessel.
Three factors dictate the degree of separation:
1. The density of the fluids
2. Retention Time
3. The temperature of liquids
The primary application is to reduce the water load on a treating system where large amounts of water are present.
Free Water Knockouts have an application where the treating system is atmospheric yet under pressure to dump the water.
